Over the past year I’ve been toying with the idea of sharing content in a different format. I love to write (hopefully) useful content, I find it to be nice way to process ideas.

And for a long time I’ve been used to the cycle of using my blog to share research outcomes. Publishing a blog post feels like an occasion, a formal piece of research which I push to the blog to remove it from my brain before moving onto the next project.

So today I’m starting something I’m calling “Stream of Consciousness”.

This gives me a place to share smaller snippets, continuing my ongoing goal of openly sharing information, while hopefully bridging the gap between some of the larger posts with some ad-hoc content.

At the moment I’m publishing via Notion. This serves a number of purposes:

  1. It makes casual posting a lot easier vs publishing via the static site.
  2. It means that I can write from the place where I spend most of my time documenting, making adding content a lot easier.

I will be making this content available by a redirect from https://blog.xpnsec.com/soc/, so when the time comes to move away from Notion, any links that I’ve referenced should remain available.

So let’s see how things go…
